Nothing makes a style statement quite like an acce

Nothing makes a style statement quite like an accent wall. 😌💚

🌱Ever since I first saw a wood slat wall, I couldn’t wait to add one to my next project ! I had already seen many different styles of plain wood against a white or black wall, and I wanted to try something slightly different here with the green. I absolutely love this tone of green so I used it for both the feature wall wood and the painted wall itself.

🌱I designed this wood slat wall with a flowing form, to break up the straight lines.

🌱And as the “sherry on top” I added a Track lighting that is recessed into the wall slats to accentuate the design. And of course as always I added indirect lightning on the cabinetry and behind the mirror.

🌱Since I always add greenery to my spaces, I found these hanging vases in galvanized metal that I painted in brass giving an amazing contrast to the white wall and at the same time complementing the green slat wall! I wanted to fill those vases with a tropical leaf to make a strong minimalist statement!

🌱Finally, notice that I mixed metals one more time! I’m so obsessed with it 😂

When you see this tree you wonder: “it’s a rea

When you see this tree you wonder: “it’s a reality or a product of my imagination?”

🌳This stunning tree is commonly known as the rainbow eucalyptus and is native to the Philippines, Indonesia, and Papua New Guinea. The first time I saw them in Hawaii at the @doleplantation in Oahu! As soon as I saw it I felt in love! See the pictures.

🌳This is the only Eucalyptus species that usually lives in rainforest! And I happen to see it again at the @zoomiami last weekend! See the videos.

🌳This tree is characterized by multi-colored bark.
Patches of outer bark are shed annually at different times, showing a bright green inner bark. This then darkens and matures to give blue, purple, orange and then maroon tones.

Cuando ves este árbol por primera vez te preguntas: “es de verdad o me lo estoy imaginando”?🤩🌳

🌳Este hermoso árbol es comúnmente conocido como Eucalipto arcoíris!
Pues existe un árbol que crece en Filipinas, Indonesia y Papúa Nueva Guinea. La primera vez que vi uno me enamore, fue en la Plantación de Dole en Oahu. Ver las primeras tres fotos.

🌳Este es el único árbol de las especies de eucalipto que vive en la selva tropical! Y para mi sorpresa me lo encuentro en el zoológico de Miami este fin de semana.

🌳La corteza de este árbol, adopta distintas coloraciones al exponerse al aire.
Cada cierto tiempo, partes de la corteza del eucalipto arcoíris se caen, dejando ver una corteza interior de color verde brillante. Con el paso del tiempo, la corteza expuesta madura y adquiere diferentes colores—azul, púrpura, naranja y granate.

Living wall with a twist, forever green and maintenance free 😅🍃

🍃This was a real challenge that my client put me through 🙃 She was renting her home and wanted to preserve the wow factor that her home had, a vertical garden that I designed with succulents with that feel to it that nature was taking over the wall. So she asked me to design a maintenance free wall with faux greenery 🙂

🍃To be honest it took me around two months to accept her challenge! I believe in biophilia. In fact one time I even told her I wouldn’t be able to do it, that I would rather complete the wall with more stone.

🍃But after that I said to myself, you’re always up for new challenges, why not to explore this idea? Well, here you see the result!

Un jardin vertical un poco diferente, que se mantenga verde y sin necesidad de mantenimiento😅🍃

🍃Este fue un verdadero reto que mi cliente me propuso! 🙃 Ella necesitaba rentar su propiedad y quería preservar ese punto focal que había en la entrada de la casa. Yo había diseñado un jardín vertical con suculentas, que parecía como si la naturaleza estuviera to retomando “su terreno” en la pared y ella me pide que la rehaga pero esta vez con plantas artificiales 🥺

🍃Para ser honesta me tomo alrededor de 2 meses aceptar este reto! Yo soy ferviente aficionada de la biophilia! De hecho un día le dije que no lo iba a hacer que era mejor completar las piezas faltantes de la pared de piedra.

🍃Después de tanto pensarlo decidí hacerlo y aquí ves el resultado! 😁

There is always a before to any afters when it comes to makeovers!
😳💪🏻🤩

🍃One thing that I love is looking at the before and after pictures! Even when I start a project with an extremely detailed after picture in mind, I still get surprised when I compare the two. It’s really satisfying as my daughter would say 😂

🍃This time I wanted to create a bright, no-fuss space where classic meets contemporary.

🍃This kitchen is bright, relaxed, and loaded with storage to create a space free of clutter, so most of its visual impact comes from the cabinetry. No wonder this is the most popular style and it will remain that way for the next few years.

🍃I wanted this kitchen to display an airy and casual elegance that draws you in! Its clean architectural lines and often neutral finishes speak to an ageless and classic style that borrows the best of traditional and contemporary design.

🍃I used this time the majority of cabinetry in white mixed with woodgrain cabinetry, and my signature look comes from inset doors with clean lines, similar to Shaker cabinets. When it comes to countertops, I chose low-maintenance quartz countertops with a sleek edge.

🍃As lighting fixtures I chose these nautical-industrial style pendants for the island and over the sink area.

🍃I chose for this Modern transitional kitchen black and brass finishes.

Bring to your home some foliage!😌🍃

🍃Houseplants have the capacity to turn even an austere new living space into a welcoming home. From easy-care varieties for gardening novices to symbolic flowers that promise to spread a little happiness in their new home, this arrangement is one of my favorites.

🍃On this “Mini Forest” I used some very easy to care plants! The beautiful fucsia orchid is the main feature, surrounded by two plants in a cascade arrangement adding movement the illusion of movement. These are the “Silver / Satin Pothos” which has the most striking coloration patterns and the Manjuula pothos that is a combination of the marble queen and N’Joy coloration. Finally, to add more texture and color I used A “Mini” “Cordyline Red Star Dracaena Palm” 😌

🍃Incorporating direct or indirect elements of nature into the built environment has been demonstrated through research to reduce stress, blood pressure levels and heart rates, whilst increasing productivity, creativity and self reported rates of well-being.🌿🙌🏼
